SEBI Risk Disclosure for F&O Trading
As per SEBI regulations, all F&O traders acknowledge the following risk disclosure statement before trading:
“9 out of 10 individual traders in the equity Futures and Options (F&O) segment incurred net losses. On an average, loss makers registered net trading loss close to ₹50,000. Over and above the net trading losses incurred, loss makers expended an additional 28% of net trading losses as transaction costs. Those making net trading profits incurred between 15% and 50% of such profits as transaction cost.”

1. No Investment Advice
Arinedge (“we,” “our,” or “the platform”) is a quantitative market analytics platform. We provide data, analysis, tools, and educational content related to Indian financial markets, including but not limited to equities, futures, options, indices, and market statistics.
We do not provide investment advice, stock recommendations, trading signals, or personalized financial guidance. Nothing on this platform should be construed as:
- Investment advice or a solicitation to buy or sell any security
- A recommendation to enter into any specific transaction
- An endorsement of any particular trading strategy
- A guarantee or prediction of future market performance
- Personalized advice tailored to your financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance
2. F&O Trading Risk Disclosure
Trading in Futures and Options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. You should carefully consider whether trading in F&O is appropriate for you in light of your experience, objectives, financial resources, and risk tolerance.
Leverage Risk
F&O instruments are leveraged products. A small price movement in the underlying asset can result in disproportionately large gains or losses. You may lose more than your initial margin deposit.
Unlimited Loss Potential
While option buyers risk only their premium paid, option sellers (writers) face theoretically unlimited losses. Short futures positions also carry significant risk in rising markets.
Time Decay (Theta)
Option premiums decay with time, accelerating as expiry approaches. Option buyers face the risk of total premium loss if the underlying does not move sufficiently before expiry.
Liquidity Risk
Some F&O contracts and strike prices may have limited liquidity, resulting in wider bid-ask spreads and difficulty entering or exiting positions at desired prices.
Regulatory Risk
SEBI and NSE may change contract specifications, lot sizes, margin requirements, or suspend trading in specific instruments. Such changes can impact open positions.
